Your friendly, English-speaking driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you straight to the base of Mount Batur. There, you’ll meet your local English-speaking guide who will give you a short briefing about the trek and answer any questions you may have. Mount Batur, an active volcano, is proudly part of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network.
The hike begins in the early hours beneath a sky filled with stars. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the landscape, history, and culture of the region. Once at the summit, your guide will show you the best spots for capturing photos—or, if you prefer, you can simply relax and take in the view in silence.
At the top, enjoy a light meal and refreshing beverages to recharge before trekking around the crater and making your way back down the mountain. From there, we’ll continue on to the famous Tegalalang rice terraces in Ubud, home to one of Bali’s most iconic swings, perfect for unforgettable Instagram-worthy moments.
Before returning to your hotel, we’ll make one last stop at a coffee plantation. Here, you can sample a variety of local Balinese and Indonesian coffees and teas—a final “pick-me-up” to conclude your adventure.
For Balinese Hindus, life is guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which means maintaining three harmonious relationships to achieve happiness: harmony between humans, harmony with the environment, and harmony with God.
