Bali Mt Batur Sunrise Trek and Hot Springs

Bali Mt Batur Sunrise Trek and Hot Springs

Your friendly, English-speaking driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you straight to the base of Mount Batur. There, you’ll meet your English-speaking guide who will provide a short introduction to the trek and answer any questions you may have. Mount Batur is both an active volcano and part of the UNESCO Global Geopark Network.

The hike begins bright and early under a sky full of stars. As you make your way up, your guide will share stories about the region’s landscape, history, and culture. Once at the summit, your guide will point out the best photo spots and gladly help capture your shots—or, if you prefer, you’re welcome to simply sit back, relax, and soak in the view in peace.

At the top, you’ll be served a light meal with drinks to restore your energy before walking around the crater and beginning the descent. Back in Toya Bungkah, you’ll have the chance to unwind in the natural hot springs. With a soothing temperature of around 38°C (99°F), it’s the perfect way to relax after an early morning hike across northern Bali’s stunning countryside.

Before heading back to your hotel, we’ll make a final stop at a local coffee plantation. Here, you’ll sample a selection of Balinese and Indonesian coffees and teas—a last little boost to end your adventure on a high note.

For Balinese Hindus, life is guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which means maintaining three harmonious relationships to achieve happiness: harmony between humans, harmony with the environment, and harmony with God.
