In the mid-afternoon, our friendly English-speaking driver will collect you from your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. From there, you’ll head to the starting point at Toya Bungkah Village, where you’ll meet your English-speaking guide. Before setting off, your guide will give you a short briefing about the trek, covering safety, the route, and insights into the history and culture of the area.
The hike up Mount Batur takes place in daylight, giving you the chance to fully enjoy the stunning scenery and sweeping views as you ascend. Once you reach the summit, your guides will handle everything—setting up camp, pitching your tent, and preparing a delicious dinner—while you relax and take in the breathtaking sunset over the volcanic valley. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a canvas of dazzling colors before night falls, revealing millions of stars, constellations, planets, and even the occasional shooting star.
The next morning, you’ll wake to a spectacular sunrise just outside your tent. While you admire the eastern sky, your guides will prepare a warm breakfast cooked over natural volcanic steam, served with coffee, tea, or water to start your day.
For Balinese Hindus, life is guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which means maintaining three harmonious relationships to achieve happiness: harmony between humans, harmony with the environment, and harmony with God.
