Bali Jungle Trek Camping

Mount Batur is a caldera volcano, meaning past eruptions have caused the summit to collapse inward, forming a vast crater. In this crater lies a serene lake that creates breathtaking scenery and panoramic views across the region. The caldera rim offers numerous viewpoints, many of which are perfect spots to witness stunning sunrises and sunsets. Near the lake, within the crater, is our designated camping area.

Your adventure begins with a mid-afternoon hotel pick-up by our friendly, English-speaking driver in a comfortable air-conditioned van. You’ll travel to Songan Village, where you’ll meet your English-speaking guide. After a short briefing and Q&A session, you’ll board a traditional canoe for a 25-minute crossing to the campsite.

Once there, you can choose to fish, swim in the lake, or simply relax with a cup of coffee or tea while your guides set up camp, prepare the campfire, and cook dinner. All tents and equipment will be arranged and packed up by the team—your only task is to unwind and enjoy the experience.

As night falls, you’ll be treated to a traditional Balinese dance performance by villagers, set beneath a sky filled with countless stars. The rest of the evening is yours to relax and take in the magical night atmosphere.

For Balinese Hindus, life is guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which means maintaining three harmonious relationships to achieve happiness: harmony between humans, harmony with the environment, and harmony with God.
