Bali Jungle Trek

Mt Batur Jungle Trekking

Like all of our treks, your journey begins early in the morning when our friendly driver picks you up from your hotel and takes you to the starting point at Pura Ulun Danu Batur in Songan Village, Kintamani. Here, you’ll meet your English-speaking guide, a local from Kintamani, who will give you a short briefing about the trek and answer any questions. Since 2012, Batur Caldera has been part of the Global Geopark Network (GGN).

The hike takes you through lush forest trails and along the crater rim until you reach the perfect spot to watch the sunrise over the eastern horizon. After enjoying breakfast, you’ll continue the journey while admiring stunning views of Lake Batur, Mount Batur, Mount Agung, and even Mount Rinjani across the sea on Lombok Island. These breathtaking landscapes also make for incredible photo opportunities.

Along the way, you’ll see local farmers at work and visit the renowned village of Trunyan, where the villagers warmly share their unique culture and traditions. As you descend into the valley, the trail winds through more scenic forest paths until you reach Pulak Village, where a traditional canoe will take you across the water to Toya Bungkah Village.

Before returning to your hotel, we’ll make one last stop at a local coffee plantation. Here, you’ll see how Balinese coffee is cultivated and processed, and have the chance to sample the world-famous Luwak coffee, considered the rarest coffee in the world. Afterward, we’ll drive you back to your hotel, leaving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the rest of your day.

For Balinese Hindus, life is guided by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana, which means maintaining three harmonious relationships to achieve happiness: harmony between humans, harmony with the environment, and harmony with God.
